This logo was created for a career exploration workshop series that will be held during the 2011-2012 academic year at Appalachian State University. I was asked to produce a logo that would catch an undergraduate student’s attention and convey a sense of growth, development and exploration.
I had created a goals worksheet for their Career Development Center earlier in the year using mountains as a portion of the background (ASU is located in the mountains of Boone, NC) and they were interested in carrying this through as a part of the workshop series’ brand.
The Career Summit logo speaks to the ASU surroundings and also to a sense of adventure/exploration. A personal, handwritten font was selected and workshop-related words peek out from the background of the mark.
