Check out the powerpoint I created for the Center for Diversity Education’s Forever Free exbhibit.
The exhibit closed October 30, but the presentation, “Slavery & The War in WNC”, is still available online as a free resource!

What a great powerpoint presentation. Very informative and pleasing to eye. I shall certainly be coming to you should I ever need a powerpoint for AHN.
On a side note: The picture in slide 49 is particularly interesting to me. The fact that city hall is complete puts the date of the photo after 1928, but almost none of those structures on that hill above Charlotte St. exist there any longer. I am terribly curious as to when most of that area was razed and replaced with the buildings that are there now.
The only additional information I have on that particular photo is here: http://toto.lib.unca.edu/findingaids/mss/blackhigh/blackhigh/photopages/bhcp7710495a.html
Thanks for checking out the presentation! You let me know when AHN needs me
What do YOU think?
